Panama and Guatemala 2023 - Day 7 (Feb 3)

Another favorite photo.  Literally from my side of the bed.

Good morning!

Some scary art.

Morning coffee for me.

Morning smoothie for Rafa.

"Enjoy the Little Things."

Eggs.

Granola.

Sunshine.

Funny pig.

All the guys at a nearby table had removed their hats.

Some active volcano steam.

So many steps in this place.

Ready for our shuttle boat.

San Pedro La Laguna!  We've been here before, but it's still beautiful.  Last time we bought local oil paintings.

New stairs and ramp being built.

What NOT to do with electrical wires.

He doesn't practice Santería.

We had a great massage and thermal water soak.

The tuk-tuk driver (___________) who took (took) us to the massage place offered to be our tour guide for the rest of the day.

The Church of Saint Peter (San Pedro.)

And his statue.

No peeing or pooping in this spot.

But eating mangoes is okay.

Typical village attire.  There's a whole "movement" of women who only wear traditional clothing or "traje tipico."

Some great murals in the village.

And footprints.

Mirador Plaza Maravilla, an observation deck with a lot of photo ops.

There's a mountain that supposed to look like an ancient, reclining Mayan.

It was so sunny and beautiful.

All of the Lake Atitlán village names, painted on the stairs.

An owl.

A Berylline hummingbird.

A Chapin and a quetzal.

Awesome clifftop soccer field.

More hummingbird art.

Gallo beer, brewed in Guatemala City.

Colorful steps.

Painted rocks.

Tempting.

SOOOO much art.  SOOOO much color!

Chillin' with my bruh.

"Galeria."  Art gallery.

Rafa needed a head shave.

Back to the boat.

Typical lakefront, cliffside homes.

Volcano at the end of the parking lot.  Wasn't that a Shel Silverstein book?

Food time.  AGAIN.
