Panama and Guatemala 2023 - Day 4 - Tim Turns 57!

So, this is how my BIRTHDAY started.  Almost got arrested for taking this photo inside the secure area at the Panama airport.  I was told to immediately delete it.  Which I did.  And then after passing through security, I promptly recovered it from the trash folder.  Bitches.

Notice my luggage tag.  31 JAN ParTY!

Landing in Guatemala City is always beautiful.  See all of the volcanoes?

A lot of yellow going on here.

Rafa is an excellent planner.  We went from the airport directly to the Restaurante Giratorio, one of the best restaurants in Guatemala City.  His parents met us there for my birthday lunch.

This photo is from the Internet.
The restaurant slowly rotates 360 degrees.  I think we did seven trips around in the 1 1/2 hours we were there.

The view.

The decor.

The Rafa.

The in-laws!

Salmon Arancini.

Mediterranean Sea Bass.

The Guatemala license plate always reminds me of the Maine license plate.

Rafa's mother made this YEARS ago from an old pair of Rafa's baby jeans.

The nephews continue to grow.

Tiramisu cake by Silvia.

Mia and Eba piñatas that Rafa ordered.

They MADE me.

Cony going CRAZY.  Mothers know how to spank!

They didn't survive.

My suegra made meatballs, rolled tacos and rellenitos de plátano for me for my birthday dinner.
